We all have unique needs throughout our lives
3I believe that doula work will change the world, thus doula and lactation services need to be available for everyone who would like them. Change is happening (slowly but surely) to make these services more accessible via health insurance! I am doing my best but I am a small business owner, an educator, a caregiving professional, previously on Medicaid, and a woman. I do not often put myself in the financially stabile category. I understand that money can be a limiting factor in receiving the things we need and deserve, so I offer a sliding scale payment system for my birth doula services, a scholarship for my postpartum lactation doula package, and I work with some Medicaid insurance plans to help bridge the gap. If you are not familiar with The Green Bottle equity model, if is outlined in the image below. It is a way to help you determine where you are at in your financial stability today and how you can best engage with my services. Please consider thoughtfully which tier you fall into and that will determine the pricing for birth services.
Tier 3- $2100 investment
Tier 2- $1900 investment
Tier 1- $1600 investment
If we decide we are a good match to work together we can discuss which Tier you land in when a contract is written up.
If you believe you are eligible for scholarship for the Lactation Doula Package please let me know when you reach out to schedule an interview.
If you receive Medicaid insurance, please let me know which plan you work with and I will let you know if I am credentialed with them...this is a long and arduous process so I apologize in advance for not having a clearly defined list at this time. I can provide some Lactation Doula support under Medicaid as one of your postpartum doulas. Visits with me would be part of your 12 allotted postpartum care visits.
