Investment - $ 40 per hr
(min package of 40hrs)

I can...
  • spend time teaching you new parent skills
  • support breastfeeding, bottle feeding, infant nutrition
  • maximize your rest
  • create/facilitate a postpartum plan for your home
  • talk through tough family dynamics
  • support your mental health and recovery!
  • If you want to set yourself up for success with breastfeeding please consider my in-home postpartum lactation support in addition or in place of traditional postpartum doula support

You can...
  • spend time talking about your birth experience
  • have me help you write your birth experience
  • take a nap
  • take a shower
  • get feeding support
  • cook or have me cook for you
  • run errands
  • go on a date with your partner
  • tidy your house
  • ask me to help facilitate a healthy you post-birth :)

A typical session looks like...

Daytime - 4hrs (usually in afternoon/evening)
  • Your partner can take a nap/shower/eat/prep food/chores
  • I arrive and observe/support a feed
  • When done, you go to nap/shower/eat while I care for baby
  • Maybe we learn a new skill like baby wearing, review infant behaviors and cues, discuss strollers and activities with baby, teach grandma (other support folks) up to date infant care practices, etc
  • When baby is ready to eat again, I will wake you
  • I will support/observe another feed and leave you in a good place :)
Overnight - 8hrs (usually 11p-7a)
  • Partner goes to bed
  • Chat for a bit and get updated on things
  • Observe/support a feed
  • While you feed, I make sure your snack/water/tools/etc are all set up for easy access overnight
  • When done I'll take babe and you can get ready for bed
  • You go to sleep while babe and I rest in the other room or babe stays with you and I rest close by so I can hear them if they wake
  • When babe is ready to eat again, I will wake you and we begin again
  • My goal is to maximize your sleep. The less you have to do to feed/comfort your babe at night, the more rest you will get. You should only have to sleep, care for your body, and feed your baby. I will do the rest!

*I highly recommend an overnight visit on the 1st or 2nd night and using a good chunk of your hours in the first 2 weeks. Based on other families experiences this is most beneficial.

*ALL hours need to be completed by 6 weeks postpartum.
