Meet Brittany
- I am dedicated to supporting families in their postpartum transformation! I have been working as a postpartum doula for over seven years and realize how challenging this time is for everyone in the home. Every family teaches me something new and highlights a need other families may have as well.

- I started my Mobile Lactation Doula Services as a direct result of client's true needs for breastfeeding support. My clients demonstrate the need for in- hospital, in-home, and overnight support, immediately post birth through the first week. This sets you up for success from the start, hopefully avoiding the need for lactation intervention down the line and connecting you to trusted lactation support quickly, if challenges should arise.

- I am an adventurer and love to be in the woods, on the beach at Lake Superior, or on my paddle board in a local river. My family lives close by and we spend most weekends together :) I also enjoy learning new things, playing board games, and dancing!!  Please view my About page to read more about my education and experience.

Postpartum Lactation Doula 
In-hospital, in-home, and overnight support, immediately post birth through the first week. Including watching at least 2 feeds in a row, partner support/rest, and education of hand expression, feeding cues, breastfeeding norms, and realistic expectations. 

I operate as a postpartum doula AND a lactation consultant combo. So you get the targeted support you need, when and where you need it!  I am certified as a Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist.

Lactation Consultation 
I come to your home to answer your breastfeeding questions, support expected infant feeding and nutrition,  talking through challenges with nursing, triaging issues and offering referals when needed, performing weighted feeds, and most importantly supporting your mental health and recovery!

Birth Doula 
As your birth doula, I act as a guide through the labor process. From prenatal education to milk making, I am with you for it all! I help foster a calm environment where you and your team have space to ask questions, make informed decisions, and enjoy the birthing process. I believe in your body and baby's ability to experience active, instinctual, and heart centered birth...even if you have to make hard choices along the way. 

Birth doula support includes prenatal education, birth planning, calming reassurances and answering questions throughout the whole experience, virtual and in person presence for labor days, gentle assistance for the golden hour and first latch, and a postpartum follow up visit.

Family Placenta Printing
I will bring all the supplies necessary to do a once in a lifetime family activity! Placenta printing is a fun way to involve, educate, and entertain older children. They get an intimate look at their new sibling's placenta and get to create an artwork to celebrate the new life!

Childbirth Education 
I offer a range of Childbirth Education options from private, in-home 5hr power sessions to a very structured 10 week program. The class structure will be modified to fit your families needs (from home birth to scheduled c section). My favorite way to teach is to gather a group of friends, grandmas, partners, etc and all learn together! It takes a village and starting off with the same level of understanding sets everyone up for success. 

Classes include: Advocacy, anatomy/physiology of birth, stages and phases of labor, comfort measures, baby/pelvis relationship, movement in labor, golden hour, first latch, newborn care, postpartum recovery, hospital interventions/induction/c-section

Survivor Mom Companion - PTSD Support
Many families come into pregnancy with trauma from somewhere in their past. And, unfortunately, many come out of birth with new trauma. Trauma and PTSD show up more intensified when you are in this intimate time of your life. This program is uniquely designed to provide education (in pregnancy and/or the postpartum period) about trauma and PTSD, offer reflection with the use of story telling, and serve as a link to additional mental health resources, if needed. I am here to walk along side you, listening, and offering ideas for coping with these challenges.
